We’ve established that marketers are using AI tools, and we’ve been given every indication that we’re only scratching the surface at how effective and downright revolutionary these tools can be.
So the recent HubSpot report that nearly 3 out of every 4 marketers (74%) are using at least one AI tool isn’t all that much of a surprise … even when considering that usage number is double the 35% that HubSpot recorded last year.
The biggest takeaway I see from the study, in fact, is the through line of all these popular uses, which the report says “have one thing in common.”
Unification.
“Seventy-four percent of marketers say that the addition of AI capabilities to the tools they already use (particularly CRM and productivity tools) has increased their AI usage,” according to the report.

For those who use AI to help create text and written content, the report found 86% make edits before publishing.
